  1. Try wiggling the cord where it goes into the unit to determine if it is compromised at the port.

  3. You have a communication problem with your ECM. Try checking voltage with a multimeter and clean all connections. Use dielectric grease in your obd plug. Remove the ABS fuse and the fuse to your aftermarket lift pump. Keep in mind that the ECM that came in 98.5 and 99 MY trucks are weak with poor flash memory. ECM's on these Dodge trucks do have a shelf life. Good luck!
